Matthew Verdon

Matt has been involved with the Australian Science Olympiads since 2000, when he represented Australia at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Copenhagen. In 2001 he made the team for the Asian Physics Olympiad in Taiwan, and also the International Physics Olympiad in Turkey. He has been a physics staff member ever since.

Matt completed a BSc with Honours in Physics at the University of Sydney in 2005, and is currently a full-time Ph.D. student at the University of Sydney researching theoretical plasma physics.

His hobbies include reading, printing photographs and mucking around with electronics and old equipment.
